I provide a fun and educational preschool program within the daycare setting. Planned activities will be provided daily. I believe in children following their own interests in learning and playing. I will sculpt the curriculum to fit the needs of my current group. EX: If we have some bug lovers and fairy lovers we may do activities that focus on bugs and fairies in our art, dramatic play and building activities. We do scheduled activities but have flexibility within the schedule for field trips, walks etc.
The children will be provided with an environment set up just for them. Art, sensory, dramatic play, and academic activities are provided. Every day we have at least one 60 minute outdoor/ gross motor time. Weather permitting, we will play in our outdoor play area or local parks. As the weather improves we will spend more time outdoors. On very rainy days we will either play inside doing special gross motor activities or travel to indoor play spaces at local community centers.
Typical Daily Schedule
7:00am-9am Children arrive, Breakfast, free play upstairs, School kids to bus stop
9:00am Circle Time-includes daily calendar, welcome song & learning activities
9:15-10:15am Preschool Playroom which includes planned art, sensory, building and dramatic play activities as well as free access to toys etc.
10:15-10:45am clean up and snack
10:45-11:45am outdoor play or indoor rainy day gross motor
11:45-1:30pm clean up and lunch (kindergartners to bus stop or picked up from), children's programming.
1:30-3:00pm nap and/or quiet time
3:00-4:00pm snack, school kids home from bus.
4:00-5:00pm free play, outdoor play weather permitting.
5:00-6pm Free play, homework for school kids
* Age appropriate activities will be provided for school age children when they are in attendance during school breaks.
